1. What this site does

Cleveland.click runs two things. The first is a crowdsourced shirt marketplace: free votes on Cleveland phrases, bids from local designers and print shops, and shirts sold by preorder once a drop opens (section 7). The second is a set of paid business boards: advertising placement on public leaderboards.

On the business boards, Cleveland.click sells advertising placement. A business’s position in a category is its cumulative total of successfully paid dollars in that category, displayed highest first. Position is not a review, rating, ranking of quality, award, certification, recommendation or endorsement, and nothing on this site should be read as one.

The legal entity operating this site is named on your Stripe receipt and card statement, and is provided on request by email.

2. Buying a position

Payments are one-time and cumulative. There is no subscription and nothing recurring.
Minimum $5 and maximum $5,000 per payment.
Your position changes only after Stripe confirms the payment cleared. A confirmation page in your browser is not proof of payment or of position.
No position is guaranteed for any period of time. Anyone may pay more at any moment, including while you are checking out, which moves them ahead of you. Amounts shown as what it takes to pass the leader are estimates from the board at that instant.
Anyone may pay to boost any listed business. You do not need to own, work for, represent, or have any connection to a business in order to put money behind its listing. An owner, an employee, a customer, a friend or a stranger may all do it.
Payment is made to us, not to the business. We keep it. No part of it is passed to the business, and it is not a tip, a donation or a gift to them.
A payment buys position on a board and nothing else. It creates no ownership of, control over, authorization from, endorsement by, or affiliation with the business, and it does not mean the business itself paid, asked for, or knows about the placement.

3. Listings we added

Many businesses are listed here without paying anything, sourced from public information and marked Open. Such a listing means only that the business is known to exist in that category. It does not indicate any payment, sponsorship, affiliation, agreement, ranking of quality or endorsement in either direction. Business names, addresses, phone numbers and opening hours on those listings are transcribed from public sources, including OpenStreetMap under the ODbL, and we correct them on request. Any business may request removal at any time, for any reason or none, and we remove it.

4. Things you may not do

Submit a name or website that is unlawful, deceptive, or impersonates someone else, or add a business to a board in order to misrepresent or disparage it.
Claim, in any medium, that a bought position is a review, a rating, an award, a quality judgement, or an endorsement by us or by anyone else.
Attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the site.

We may deactivate any listing for abuse, legal reasons, or a credible complaint, and may refund the associated payment when we do.

5. Refunds, chargebacks and rank

See the refund policy. Refunded or disputed money stops counting toward rank, to the cent, as soon as we are notified of it.

6. No warranty, limited liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to this site or a payment is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not responsible for the content, conduct, quality or availability of any business listed here.

7. The shirt marketplace

Votes are free. A vote is not a purchase and not a promise that anything gets made. We may pull any phrase at any time, including one that turns out to belong to somebody else.
A phrase is not trademark-cleared until its page says a person searched it and cleared it. Nothing is printed before then.
If you send in a phrase, it must be yours to send, and it must not use a team, league, venue, person or other brand. You give us permission to show it, and the credit you chose, on the site and in share images. We may reject or remove any phrase.
Designers keep their copyright. A designer whose design is chosen licenses it to us and the print shop for the shirts in that drop, on written terms confirmed before work starts.
Bids are reviewed by a person before they show. We may reject any bid or application.
Shirts are sold by preorder, drop by drop. The price, minimum, closing date and shipping are shown before you pay. You pay when you reserve. A drop prints only if it reaches its minimum by its closing date; if it does not, we refund you in full automatically.
